Job summary

Convergint Federal in Spring Lake, NC is seeking a Service Technician III (onsite) to install, configure, and service security systems including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion systems.

You will perform system upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and train clients on operation and maintenance while maintaining documentation and inventory. This role requires travel and a Top Secret/SCI clearance, with competitive hourly compensation.

Qualifications

Minimum high school degree or GED; trade certification preferred.
8+ years installing and maintaining security systems; 100K+ project experience.
Two product certifications helpful (Lenel S2, DMP, Avigilon, Milestone, CCure 9000, etc).
Industry licenses as required by state/local law; ability to obtain.
Read blueprints/schematics; basic network and OS knowledge.
Strong customer focus; work well under pressure; travel 25%–35%.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain security systems (access control, video, intrusion).
Conduct system upgrades and modifications to meet client requirements.
Collaborate with project teams for successful implementation.
Identify and resolve technical issues promptly and efficiently.
Provide remote and on-site support; train clients on operation and maintenance.
Document service activities; manage equipment inventory and changes.
