Job summary

Convergint Technologies, LLC is seeking a full-time Security Technician in the United States. You will install, program, startup, certify and train customers on varied security systems across projects of differing complexity.

You will read blueprints, troubleshoot, and work with engineers to resolve issues, while mentoring junior staff and supporting project teams. This role requires travel to jobsites and a proactive, customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Solid technical skills in fire alarm and electronic security systems.
• Solid programming and troubleshooting skills.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Reads blueprints, schematics and drawings to determine installation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of non-routine systems and equipment including security, fire alarm, life safety, and building automation.
• Read blueprints, schematics and manuals to determine installation procedures.
• Operate systems to demonstrate equipment, commission new systems, and identify malfunctions.
• Mentor less experienced staff and supervise testing and tuning of equipment.
• Coordinate with Project Manager/Operations Manager and assist in improvements and scope changes.
