Job summary

Pearson's Security Operations Center is seeking a Senior Director of Security Operations to lead day-to-day SOC activities, drive incident response, and advance detection engineering across Pearson environments. You will refine SOC processes, develop automated responses, and partner with internal and external teams to protect critical assets.

This role requires strong leadership, hands-on experience with SOAR/EDR/NDR/SIEM, and a track record in regulated environments or government clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in security operations, incident response, and detection engineering (4+ years).
• Experience working with regulated environments or government clients.
• Hands-on with SOAR, EDR, NDR, and SIEM technologies.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud services.
• Strong multitasking and communication skills for stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day SOC operations and incident response.
• Develop detection logic, playbooks, and automated responses.
• Improve SOC processes and align with standards.
• Collaborate with threat intel to integrate TTPs.
• Deliver executive-level reporting and metrics.
• On-call rotation for 24x7 coverage.
