Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Skip-Level Manager: Senior Director of Security Operations to lead the SOC and drive improvements across Pearson environments. You will oversee incident detection, containment, and root-cause analysis, while advancing automation and detection engineering.

You will collaborate with threat intelligence, ensure regulatory alignment, and communicate risks to executives. 4+ years in security operations with hands-on experience in SOAR, EDR, NDR and SIEM is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in regulated environments or government clients.
• 4+ years in security operations, incident response, and detection engineering.
• Hands-on with SOAR, EDR, NDR and SIEM technologies; cloud experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute advanced SOC operations including detection, triage, containment and root cause analysis.
• Work on-call schedule to ensure 24x7 coverage during non-office hours.
• Develop and optimize detection logic, playbooks, and automated response workflows.
• Continuously improve SOC processes and collaborate with threat intelligence teams.
• Translate technical findings to executives and ensure regulatory alignment.
