Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Senior Security Analyst to lead day-to-day SOC operations, drive process improvements, and advance detection engineering across Pearson environments. You will coordinate rapid incident response, automation, and collaboration with internal and external partners to safeguard critical assets.

Responsibilities include leading advanced SOC operations, developing detection logic, and optimizing workflows while aligning with Pearson standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in security operations, incident response and detection engineering.
• Experience in regulated environments or government clients is preferred.
• Hands-on expertise with cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP) and SOC tooling.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute advanced SOC operations including incident detection, triage, containment and root cause analysis.
• Develop, implement and optimize detection logic, playbooks, and automated response workflows.
• Continuously assess and improve SOC processes and procedures and align with threats.
• Collaborate with threat intelligence and translate findings for stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with standards and governance and deliver executive reporting.
