Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Senior Staff Security Engineer to lead the Security Operations AI program and bridge offensive and defensive security. This role centers on building intelligent defenses and guiding AI-driven security initiatives across multiple offices.

You will own the technical direction, mentor engineers, and push the boundaries of how AI reshapes threat detection and incident response in a fast-paced finance environment.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of security engineering experience across offensive and defensive domains.
• Demonstrated impact at Senior Staff/Principal/ Distinguished level with organizational security direction.
• Deep expertise in application security and threat detection within large-scale environments.
• Strong AI-focused approach to security operations and automation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Security Operations AI Tech Lead, creating and executing the AI roadmap for defensive and offensive operations.
• Lead offensive security research to identify and close critical attack surfaces.
• Architect and build next-generation defensive capabilities that engage, deceive, and track threat actors including AI-powered adversaries.
• Drive AI-forward security strategy to scale against agentic and automated threats.
• Set technical standards and mentor engineers within Security Operations.
