Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Security and Loss Prevention Expert (SLP Expert) to lead end-to-end security services across multiple business units in the USA (VA/Rockville) and report to the SLP Cluster Manager.

This role requires coordinating investigations, data-driven risk mitigation, and collaboration with internal customers and external vendors; travel up to 50%, lifting duties, and 24/7 coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of relevant professional or military experience.
• 2+ years of security service, loss prevention, asset protection, investigations, or law enforcement, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify vulnerabilities and conduct root cause analysis using data to define mitigating actions.
• Monitor and report outcomes for systems and tools that indicate opportunities.
• Manage confidential investigations and prepare prompt reports of theft, fraud, and incidents.
• Drive process improvements and efficiency through continuous improvement.
• Act as security liaison and subject matter expert informing site leadership on issues, strategies and performance.
• Partner with internal customers to evaluate current and future security needs and incident response planning.
• Travel domestically up to 50% of the time when applicable.
• Perform physical work: lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk long shifts, and endure variable environments.
