Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Security and Loss Prevention Expert to lead end-to-end security services across multiple business units in CA. This role reports to the SLP Cluster Manager and oversees investigations, data-driven mitigation actions, and crisis response.

Responsibilities include collaborations with internal customers, incident planning, and budget considerations for external suppliers. Domestic travel up to 50% may be required; candidates must be able to lift and work in varied environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 4+ years of relevant professional or military experience.
• 2+ years of security service, loss prevention, asset protection, investigations, or law enforcement, or 2+ years of Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) experience.
• Experience implementing metric-based strategies using continuous improvement concepts.
• Experience in physical security systems maintenance/implementation and coordinating scope of work with security vendors.

Responsibilities

• Identify vulnerabilities and conduct root cause analysis using data to define mitigating actions while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Actively monitor and report outcomes for systems and tools that generate data indicating site/region opportunities.
• Manage confidential investigations and prepare prompt reports of theft, fraud, and workplace violence/critical incidents.
• Utilize continuous improvement to drive process enhancements and increase efficiency.
• Serve as department’s liaison and security/crisis management SME keeping site leadership informed on key issues, strategies and performance.
