Job summary

Amazon Worldwide Operations Security is seeking a Security and Loss Prevention (SLP) Expert to lead end-to-end security services across assigned business units and report to the SLP Cluster Manager. This role requires building partnerships, driving risk mitigation, and maintaining site security across multiple sites in the New York area.

The SLP Expert will oversee investigations, data-driven improvements, and collaborations with internal customers to deploy security best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 4+ years of relevant professional or military experience.
• 2+ years of security service, loss prevention, asset protection, investigations, or law enforcement, or 2+ years of Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify vulnerabilities and conduct root cause analysis using data to define mitigating actions while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Actively monitor and report outcome for systems and tools that generate data indicating site/region opportunities.
• Manage confidential investigations and prepare prompt reports of theft, fraud, and workplace violence/critical incidents.
• Utilize continuous improvement to drive process enhancements and increase efficiency.
• Serve as department’s liaison and security/crisis management subject matter expert keeping site leadership informed on key issues, strategies and performance.
