Job summary

Amazon Security and Loss Prevention is seeking a Senior SLP Expert to lead end-to-end security services across New York operations, reporting to the SLP Cluster Manager. You will drive risk analysis, incident response, and continuous improvements to protect personnel and assets.

The role requires coordinating with internal customers and external partners, involving up to 50% travel and flexibility to work various shifts.

Responsibilities

• Identify vulnerabilities and conduct root cause analysis using data to define mitigating actions while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Actively monitor and report outcomes for systems and tools that generate data indicating site/region opportunities.
• Manage confidential investigations and prepare prompt reports of theft, fraud, and workplace violence/critical incidents.
• Utilize continuous improvement to drive process enhancements and increase efficiency.
• Serve as department’s liaison and security/crisis management subject matter expert keeping site leadership informed on department’s key issues, strategies and the performance.
• Identify, promote and implement security best practices while effectively partnering with internal customers to evaluate current and future security needs, processes, and initiatives, incident response planning, facilitating and management.
• Domestic regional travel up to 50% of the time when applicable.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach; Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts; Work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud; Work in an environment that is subject to variable temperatures and weather (delivery stations include outside loading departments); Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs).
• This role covers 24/7 operations and must be able to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
