Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Security and Loss Prevention Expert to lead end-to-end SLP services across multiple business units within California. Reporting to the SLP Cluster Manager, you will identify vulnerabilities, investigate incidents, and drive improvements to protect people and assets.

The role requires 2+ years in security or related fields, willingness to travel up to 50%, and the ability to work across diverse shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 4+ years of relevant professional or military experience.
• 2+ years of security service, loss prevention, asset protection, investigations, or law enforcement, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify vulnerabilities and conduct root cause analysis using data to define mitigating actions while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Actively monitor and report outcome for systems and tools that generate data indicating site/region opportunities.
• Manage confidential investigations and prepare prompt reports of theft, fraud, and workplace violence/critical incidents.
• Utilize continuous improvement to drive process enhancements and increase efficiency.
• Serve as department’s liaison and security/crisis management subject matter expert keeping site leadership informed on department’s key issues, strategies and the performance.
