Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to collaborate across AI, Enterprise Architecture, and Business Development teams, strengthening protections for federal information systems and data.

You will guide implementations, conduct security assessments, oversee vulnerability management and cloud security (AWS/Azure), and champion Zero Trust, CI/CD security, and security documentation with cross-team leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and 7+ Years
• 5+ years of Security Engineering experience.
• Experience with US Federal government in security engineering capacity.
• Familiar with NIST 800-53 and NIST 800-171 controls.
• Strong CI/CD security and secure cloud configurations.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud security.
• Up to 10% travel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME on Information Security solutions and guide engineering teams.
• Lead or contribute to security projects and provide technical leadership.
• Implement, configure, and maintain Information Security solutions with best practices.
• Coordinate enterprise project work and align resources across teams.
• Direct execution of program elements based on risk and objectives.
• Advise on security controls across cloud, network, and endpoints.
