Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 7+ years in security engineering
• Experience working with US Federal government in a security engineering role
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53 and NIST 800-171 controls
• Strong understanding of securing CI/CD pipelines and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
• Knowledge of network security controls and endpoint security
• Ability to assess vulnerabilities and drive remediation
• Willingness to travel up to 10%
• U.S. Citizenship and preferred certifications (CISSP/CISA/CCSP/CISM/GIAC/AWS/Azure)

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME on Information Security solutions and guide engineers
• Lead or contribute to security projects and provide technical leadership
• Implement and maintain Information Security solutions with best practices
• Coordinate enterprise project work and align resources across teams
• Prioritize program elements based on risk and objectives
• Advise on security controls for cloud, network, and endpoints
• Perform security assessments and remediation tracking
• Advise on SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and scanners
• Collaborate with admins and CI/CD engineers to mitigate risks
• Develop and maintain security documentation and system security plans
• Provide recommendations to improve security posture and compliance
• Support Zero Trust and secure configuration management implementations
• Review proposals for technical compliance and act as ISO stakeholder
• Communicate security initiatives and designs to leadership
