Maximus is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to work across AI, Enterprise Architecture, and Business Development teams. You will guide security implementations, improve cybersecurity controls for federal information systems, and support security operations, vulnerability management, and cloud security initiatives.

You will lead technical efforts, mentor engineers, and ensure CI/CD pipelines are secure while aligning security with risk and compliance objectives. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years of Security Engineering experience.
• Experience with US Federal government security requirements (FISMA/NIST).
• Strong background securing CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of Zero Trust and cloud security best practices.
• Experience with vulnerability management and remediation processes.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud security.

• Serve as SME on Information Security solutions and guide integration across teams.
• Lead or contribute to security projects with technical leadership and mentorship.
• Implement, configure, and maintain information security solutions per best practices.
• Oversee enterprise project work and align resources across teams.
• Prioritize program elements based on risk and business impact.
• Advise on security controls across cloud, network, and endpoint environments.
• Perform security assessments, vulnerability analysis, and remediation tracking.
• Advise on SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and vulnerability scanning tools.
• Collaborate with admins and CI/CD engineers to address security risks.
• Develop and maintain security documentation and system security plans.
• Recommend improvements to security posture, compliance, and operations.
• Support Zero Trust, secure configuration management, and cloud security practices.
• Review proposals for technical compliance; engage ISO stakeholders in risk activities.
