Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented Software Developer in Test (SDET) to support the Veterans Affairs (VA) program. This is a remote, full-time opportunity that demands strong programming skills, comprehensive test planning, and a solutions-oriented mindset.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in software testing, hands-on experience with test automation (Selenium, JUnit), CI/CD (GitHub Actions), and SDLC. U.S. citizenship and a Public Trust clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Advanced certifications in testing (ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA).
• 10+ years in software testing and quality assurance.
• Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (AWS/Azure).
• U.S. Citizenship required for this opportunity.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures.
• Develop test plans, test schedule, and approach.
• Write test cases and scripts; identify data for test scenarios.
• Lead tests and verification of IT systems to ensure defect-free operation.
• Document and communicate test results; support issue resolution.
• Create daily test metrics and reporting.
• Mentor junior testers and provide guidance to the team.
