Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks a talented Software Developer in Test (SDET) for a fully remote role supporting the Veterans Affairs department. The position requires strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python, with extensive experience in automated and manual testing, test planning, and SDLC understanding.

Candidates should be able to design, execute, and report on test activities and collaborate across IT teams.

Qualifications

Strong programming skills in C#, Java, or Python.
Experience with both manual and automated testing.
Experience with Agile/Scrum and SDLC understanding.
Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, scripts, and plans.
Knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute test plans, cases, and procedures to ensure information systems meet standards.
Develop test plans, schedules, and approaches.
Write test cases and scripts and identify data for test scenarios.
Document and communicate test results and progress on issue resolution.
Perform verification activities and lead testing efforts across IT systems.
Support analysis of test results and resolution of open issues.
