Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a motivated and detailed-minded (Senior) Scientist to join our Analytical Development team in Cambridge, MA. You will develop RNA characterization methods and support routine and non-routine testing critical to in vivo non-viral drug discovery.

The role requires hands-on lab experience and a commitment to data quality and compliance. The candidate will contribute to regulatory documents, SOPs, and cross-functional teams, mentoring junior members while maintaining

Qualifications

• PhD in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
• 3–8 years hands-on lab experience, preferably with RNA and/or LNPs.
• Proficiency with NGS and Sanger sequencing.
• Proficiency with plate-based assays (qPCR, digital PCR, ELISA).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to analyze data and present results to the team.

Responsibilities

• Develop sequencing (NGS and Sanger) methods for RNA therapeutics.
• Develop plate-based assays (ELISA, MSD).
• Explore new techniques to characterize RNA.
• Analyze, interpret, and summarize experimental data; write lab reports.
• Contribute to regulatory documents and SOPs.
• Train and mentor junior team members.
• Execute experiments per SOPs and GLP standards.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and coordinate maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, EHS, and corporate policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
