Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Senior Scientist for its Analytical Development team in Cambridge, MA. You will develop RNA therapeutics analysis methods and support routine/non-routine testing to advance drug discovery.

The role emphasizes data quality, GLP, and collaboration with researchers and process development teams. The ideal candidate has hands-on lab experience, a PhD in a related field, and strong skills in sequencing and plate-based assays.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
• 3–8 years hands-on lab experience, RNA/LNPs preferred.
• Proficiency with NGS and Sanger sequencing; plate-based assays.

Responsibilities

• Develop sequencing (NGS and Sanger) and qPCR methods for RNA therapeutics.
• Develop plate-based assays (ELISA, MSD).
• Analyze and summarize data; prepare lab reports and technical summaries.
• Contribute to writing regulatory documents, method protocols and reports.
• Train and mentor junior team members.
• Execute experiments per SOPs and GLP standards.
• Maintain equipment and coordinate preventive maintenance.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in R&D.
