Police Athletic League (PAL) in New York City seeks an Assistant Director to supervise on-site afterschool programs embedded in NYC public schools and PAL centers. You will support youth, families, school communities, and partners while ensuring program integrity and mental health supports.

Salary range is $48,000–$50,000 per year with full benefits. The role requires flexible scheduling, day-evening-weekend programming, and travel to PAL locations across the five boroughs.

Qualifications

• Experience in youth development and afterschool programming.
• Ability to coordinate with NYPD, DYCD, DOH, NYCPS and community partners.
• Strong communication, listening and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment, hiring, and supervision of part-time staff.
• Ensure program aligns with PAL policies, SACC regulations, and funding obligations.
• Develop Youth Development culture and train staff on SEL and inclusion policies.
