Job summary

The Police Athletic League (PAL) of New York City is seeking an Assistant Director to elevate out-of-school programming across multiple sites, aligning with NYPD, DYCD and school partners to deliver SEL, STEM, literacy, sports and college access initiatives.

You will supervise staff, ensure compliance with SACC regulations, and foster a Youth Development culture. PAL offers comprehensive benefits and a start date of September 7, 2026, with a salary of $48,000–$50,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with youth work experience.
• Experience with SACC regulations and program supervision preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee PAL School Afterschool Programming and ensure SEL/inclusion integration.
• Recruit, hire, supervise, and support part-time staff and specialists.
• Coordinate with NYPD, DYCD, DOH, NYCPS and community partners.

Education

Associate's degree in child development, education, physical education or recreation or related field

NYC SACC Credential or NYS Children’s Program Administrator Credential (or equivalent)
