Job summary

Saint Hubert Catholic School for Girls is seeking a School Help Desk Technician to manage the school’s IT and classroom technology integration. The role reports to the school President and Principal and ensures compliant, secure digital infrastructure.

The incumbent will maintain workstations, deploy student devices, handle help desk tickets, manage licenses, and oversee the school phone system, firewalls, and network services, while supporting budget and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree recommended
• Previous help desk or building IT experience highly preferred
• Network and hardware certifications are preferred

Responsibilities

• Set-up and maintain technology systems including computer workstations, laptops, Chromebooks, printers, projectors and interactive boards
• Deploy and maintain student devices
• Process work orders through the school ticketing system
• Assist in preparing purchase orders for technology equipment and inspect purchases on receipt
• Install and maintain software and manage licensing agreements
• Maintain inventory using central system and provide usage reports to administration
• Oversee and manage the school's phone system
• Ensure incidents are recorded in the Help Desk system
• Knowledge of firewalls and web filters; remediate vulnerabilities
• Develop and manage the IT department's annual budget
• Participate in professional development and diocesan technology meetings
• Maintain wired and wireless infrastructure, DHCP and DNS
• Maintain Windows servers with Active Directory and local networks
• Liaise with Office of Catholic Education on technology issues
• Handle additional duties as needed
