Job summary

Ryan Companies seeks an experienced Scheduler to support regional field teams with scheduling tools and best practices. You will assist proposal schedules, ensure ongoing updates, and develop health reports.

The role emphasizes coordinating with project teams, subs, designers, and stakeholders to optimize sequencing, durations, and milestones across regions. Strong MS Project and P6 knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field preferred.
• 10+ years in construction with 5+ years in planning and scheduling.
• Demonstrable understanding of field operations and building techniques.
• Strong knowledge of planning/scheduling principles and techniques.
• Highly fluent with MS Project.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 or 4D scheduling is a plus.
• Familiar with DCMA 14-point schedule health assessment.
• Understanding of Lean Construction and Last Planner System.
• Understanding schedule delay analysis methods.
• Strong listening, understanding and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication in group or individual settings.
• Demonstrates leadership and Ryan standard practices.
• Initiative, self-starter, proactive solution development.
• Ability to train, mentor and motivate others.
• Travel to regions/projects up to 50% annually.
• Experience walking jobsites to assess progress.
• Positive attitude and disciplined work ethic.
• Collaborates with Developers, Designers, Pre-Construction, PMs and Field Managers.

Responsibilities

• Assist and grow regional field teams with scheduling tools per Ryan standards (Fundamentals, Ryan Process, MS Project).
• Occasionally assist proposal stage by creating/reviewing schedules.
• Ensure project teams update schedules accurately and frequently.
• Help Operations develop and monitor monthly schedule health reports.
• Facilitate Pull Planning sessions in regional offices or job sites.
• Lead preconstruction planning with teams, subs, designers, and stakeholders for sequencing and durations.
• Organize peer reviews on complex/high-profile projects per leadership direction.
• Capture and analyze data to support continuous improvement with Data Analytics.
• Provide periodic information for internal communications and training.
• Stay current with developments in scheduling and construction industry.
