Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a skilled Scheduler to support scheduling operations for mission-critical capital projects and facilities. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or related field.
• 5-8 years of direct relevant experience in construction scheduling or project controls roles
• Strong proficiency in scheduling software including Primavera P6 (P6 EPPM or P6 Professional)
• Solid understanding of critical path method (CPM) scheduling principles and techniques
• Experience developing and maintaining schedules for capital construction projects valued at $500M-$5B
• Knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and project delivery processes
• Strong analytical skills with ability to identify schedule trends, risks, and performance issues
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and presenting to project teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to work independently with general supervision while managing multiple project assignments
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and commitment to accuracy
• Collaborative team player with ability to coordinate with diverse project stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for capital projects
• Establish WBS and activity coding aligned with standards
• Define durations, logic, constraints, dependencies with input from teams
• Incorporate procurement milestones and long‑lead items
• Create baseline schedules and maintain version control
• Update schedules based on progress and scope changes
• Develop look‑ahead schedules (2‑week to 3‑month) for planning
• Coordinate schedule inputs from multiple trades and design disciplines
• Conduct critical path and total float analyses
• Monitor schedule performance against baseline and forecast completion
• Prepare schedule status reports and visual presentations
• Communicate schedule status and risks to managers and teams
• Coordinate with cost management for integrated reporting
• Prepare schedule narratives explaining variances and actions
• Escalate significant risks with analysis
• Coordinate integration with design-build or fast-tracks
