Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a senior SCADA Design Lead to drive the in-house design of SCADA monitoring and control systems for utility-scale renewable energy projects.

You will use AutoCAD and Visio to create comprehensive designs and define standards to ensure reliability and compliance. The role is fully remote nationwide; you will mentor engineers, collaborate with OT teams, and lead technical engagements with customers and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery and ongoing

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electrical, mechanical or energy engineering is preferred.
• Direct experience in SCADA engineering.
• Experience drafting SCADA, networking, electrical, and substation drawings.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Advanced knowledge of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking.
• Experience with industrial automation protocols.
• Ability to collaborate with sub-contractors and field personnel.
• Proficiency with project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex SCADA design workstreams for utility-scale PV, BESS, and wind projects.
• Develop comprehensive designs in AutoCAD and Visio for SCADA systems.
• Define and enforce SCADA design standards and best practices.
• Review scope documents and approve wiring diagrams and BOMs.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Coordinate with SOLV OT teams to validate hardware requirements.
• Support on-site commissioning and project handoff activities.
