Job summary

WSP seeks an experienced SCADA and Automation Engineer – Lead Professional to join our Boise, Idaho office, with consideration for Clarkston WA, Portland OR, San Diego CA, Denver CO, Salt Lake City UT and Ft Lauderdale FL. You will lead design, testing, and commissioning of SCADA/ESSP solutions for utility and industrial projects.

You will guide teams, develop data transfer schemes, and ensure compliance with IEEE, IEC, ANSI, CIGRE and NERC standards while mentoring junior staff and traveling as

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
7–10 years of post-education electrical engineering experience in power generation, transmission or distribution.
Flexible schedules and occasional travel as required by projects.
Proven commitment to safety and policy adherence.

Responsibilities

Provide design, engineering and commissioning leadership for substations and protection systems.
Develop data transfer schemes and test data routing between control centers and field devices.
Configure networks for RTUs, IEDs, HMIs, and SCADA equipment.
Create and implement control logic for remote and local operation of power equipment.
