PlainsCapital Bank is seeking an SBA Credit Officer to manage credit risk within the SBA Lending division. You will oversee risk and ensure adherence to policy and SBA requirements while guiding loan structures and ongoing monitoring.

You will collaborate with SBA Lending leadership to support growth, monitor borrower performance, and deliver meaningful credit insights to committees and executives. This role requires strong underwriting and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field required.
• 7+ years’ SBA lending experience, including SBA 7(a) and 504 underwriting.
• Ability to interface effectively with senior/executive management.
• Strong knowledge of SBA lending, underwriting, and guaranty requirements.

Responsabilités

• Uphold credit policies within SBA Lending and SBA program requirements across lending relationships.
• Provide credit oversight on SBA 7(a) and 504 loan requests, evaluating underwriting and risk.
• Review and approve or recommend credit packages before submission to approval authorities.
• Partner with SBA Lending teams to support strategic growth while maintaining credit discipline.
• Develop reporting to Loan Committee and Board on credit quality and risk.
