Job summary

Grasshopper Bank is seeking an SBA Senior Credit Officer to lead SBA underwriting, risk oversight, and regulatory audit readiness within the Credit Department. The role demands strong expertise in SBA SOPs, credit risk management, and collaboration with senior leaders.

You will manage underwriting quality, ensure compliance with internal standards and SBA guidelines, and oversee audits and vendor relationships to support a growing portfolio of SBA loans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or five years of bank credit department experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior SBA senior credit experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead SBA credit underwriting approvals and risk oversight in line with SBA SOP and internal risk guidelines.
• Manage the SBA department’s credit review and analysis functions with adherence to policies and SBA/regulatory requirements.
• Proactively monitor credit quality and manage risk to minimize losses in the portfolio.
• Coordinate with executives and regulators during audits and examinations.
• Oversee onboarding and use of external vendors related to SBA underwriting and risk management.
