Job summary

Mission Recruit is partnering with a growing SBA focused bank in Utah to recruit an experienced SBA and Commercial Loan Operations Manager. This senior role combines hands-on processing of SBA, equipment leasing, and other credit files with leadership to mentor and train a growing team.

You will guide the Loan Operations function, contribute to underwriting or business development paths, and help shape operations as the team expands over 18–24 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of direct SBA loan processing experience in a bank or financial institution.
• Experience processing loans from application through closing and funding.
• Knowledge of SBA lending, commercial lending, and equipment leasing.
• Ability to manage complex or high-volume files with minimal oversight.
• Strong documentation and lending procedures knowledge.
• Experience mentoring or training other processors.

Responsibilities

• Process SBA, equipment leasing, commercial, consumer, and residential loan files from application through closing and funding.
• Review applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with policies and SBA requirements.
• Prepare loan documentation using LaserPro and bank systems.
• Coordinate with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, title companies, and others to satisfy conditions.
• Maintain loan files and ensure proper execution and filing.
• Assist SBA loan requests through CAFS/ETRAN and ensure SBA documentation standards.
• Support equipment finance and leasing transactions and closing activities.
• Verify collateral, insurance, lien perfection, and UCC filings.
• Coordinate loan closings and ensure closing conditions are met prior to funding.
• Quality control reviews to resolve documentation exceptions prior to booking.
• Monitor loan pipelines and communicate status to officers and customers.
• Onboard and train new Loan Processor/Funders as the team grows.
• Provide input on team workflow and staffing needs as Loan Operations grows.
