Job summary

Amazon Leo in Redmond, WA seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to own satellite avionics hardware from design to production ramp. You will lead architecture, circuit design, and verification, coordinating across systems, firmware, manufacturing, and integration teams to meet program milestones.

As a technical leader, you will drive high-quality hardware development, perform design reviews, and guide debugging from development through production, shaping engineering standards for a scalable

Qualifications

• Experience developing hardware across the full product lifecycle (concept through production).
• Experience with PCB design and debugging including processors, FPGAs, power supplies, sensors.
• Experience with complex board designs and high-reliability systems.
• Experience using ECAD tools for schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Experience driving hardware through bring-up, validation, and integration.
• Experience with system-level hardware development in aerospace or similar domains.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of satellite avionics subsystems from architecture to production ramp.
• Lead system and subsystem architecture translating requirements into manufacturable hardware.
• Drive circuit design, analysis, and ECAD schematic capture to meet targets.
• Lead hardware design reviews and set design quality standards.
• Develop and execute bring-up, verification, and qualification test strategies.
• Lead debugging and root-cause resolution across development, qualification, and production.
• Establish requirements, traceability, and verification frameworks for hardware subsystems.
• Lead production readiness and ramp, including test strategy and yield improvement.
• Influence cross-functional teams to deliver program milestones.
• Act as a technical leader, raising engineering standards and mentoring engineers.
