Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for the Avionics Electrical Engineering team. You will own systems engineering execution for avionics hardware from architecture through qualification, production ramp, and on-orbit support, partnering with hardware development engineers to deliver reliable satellite hardware across the full lifecycle.

You will lead reviews, define interfaces, manage verification strategies, and influence cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in architecture or system engineering.
• Experience leading cross-functional technical projects.
• 5+ years developing complex hardware systems across full lifecycle.
• Experience defining and managing hardware/software interfaces.
• Experience with requirements traceability and verification plans.
• Experience supporting hardware integration, verification, or qualification.
• Experience leading system-level technical trades and root cause resolution.

Responsibilities

• Own the systems engineering execution for avionics hardware products from architecture through qualification, production ramp, and on-orbit support.
• Lead product-level hardware architecture, translating needs into clear design requirements.
• Develop and maintain product requirements, functional architectures, interface definitions, and verification traceability.
• Define and manage interfaces between avionics hardware and the broader satellite.
• Lead reviews and verification readiness activities and drive cross-functional decisions.
• Ensure designs meet performance, reliability, safety, manufacturability, testability, and operational needs.
• Develop verification strategies and manage issues across development, qualification, production, and on-orbit learning.
• Maintain traceability and verification frameworks; support production readiness and ramp.
• Influence cross-functional teams to deliver integrated hardware for program milestones.
