Job summary

Amazon Leo is building a satellite-based broadband initiative. We’re seeking a software engineer to develop embedded software, drivers, and system applications for satellite platforms, interacting with micro-controllers and cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes security, reliability, and scalable design, with mentorship responsibilities and a broad scope across the software stack. Applicants should have 5+ years of professional software development, plus experience in leadership,

Qualifications

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

Develop embedded software in Rust, C, C++, or other modern languages.
Write device drivers and system applications for the various satellite systems.
Write software to interact with micro-controllers
Work closely with other software and hardware teams to support board bring-up and integration testing.
Design and develop, ensuring a high bar on Security.
