Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U FI-CA Senior Consultant to deliver configuration and support for FI-CA in utility receivables and financial processing. You will work with stakeholders, technical teams, and connected workstreams to ensure accurate processing across the meter-to-cash lifecycle.

You will collaborate with Billing, Customer Service, Retail Choice, banking partners, and FI/CO teams, providing production support and knowledge transfer, while maintaining documentation and process flows across

Qualifications

• Strong functional knowledge of SAP IS-U FI-CA and the broader utility meter-to-cash process.
• Hands-on knowledge of payment processing, clearing, collections, dunning, open-item management, and FI-CA account determination.
• Understanding of FI-CA integration with SAP IS-U Billing and FI/CO General Ledger, including reconciliation and period-end considerations.
• Ability to translate business, regulatory, and operational requirements into practical SAP IS-U FI-CA functional designs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including investigating processing and reconciliation exceptions and root causes.
• Ability to collaborate with business, functional, technical, and integration teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain requirements and decisions.
• Willingness to travel 40-60%.

Responsibilities

• Configure and support FI-CA contract accounts, business-partner relationships, main and subtransactions, and posting controls.
• Design and test payment processing, bank interfaces, cash-desk flows, and payment allocation.
• Configure clearing strategies, dunning, collections, installment plans, and write-offs.
• Support FI-CA events and BRF+ rules for process control and exception handling.
• Analyze FI-CA integration with GL, reconciliation, and period-end impacts on billing, tax, and customer-service transactions.
• Prepare functional designs, configuration docs, test cases, and process flows.
• Execute unit and integration testing and support UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution.
• Collaborate with Billing, Customer Service, Retail Choice, banking partners, and FI/CO teams to resolve end-to-end issues.
• Provide production support, root-cause analysis, and guidance to business users and technical teams.
• Communicate issues and requirements to client stakeholders and project leadership.
• Provide knowledge transfer and guidance to client teams and junior members.
