Job summary

Veeam seeks a Senior Sales Systems Engineer in San Jose to act as a trusted technical advisor for major customers, partnering with Enterprise Account Executives to define strategy across data resilience, cyber recovery, cloud transformation, and enterprise infrastructure.

You will lead the technical sales cycle from discovery through validation and close, translating business priorities into secure, scalable architectures and building credibility with executives and technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in pre-sales or related technical role.
• Experience supporting large enterprise or named accounts.
• Ability to lead discovery, architecture, demonstrations, POCs, and validation through closure.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Enterprise Account Executives to develop and execute technical strategies across named accounts.
• Lead complex pre-sales engagements from discovery, design, and demonstration through close.
• Build trusted relationships with customer architects, infrastructure and security leaders, and executives.
• Translate customer objectives and requirements into resilient solution architectures across hybrid, multi-cloud, SaaS, and enterprise environments.
• Deliver compelling technical demonstrations, workshops, and executive discussions tied to customer outcomes.
• Design and lead POCs with defined success criteria and progress toward a decision.
