Job summary

Alpaca is seeking a Sr. Sales Engineer to serve as the technical expert for our enterprise partners worldwide.

You will bridge technical and business conversations, support API integrations, and expand our enterprise partnerships with a focus on API-driven growth. You will collaborate with Sales, Solutions, Product, and Engineering teams, handle end-to-end technical sales engagements, and travel as needed to meet partners and regulators.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in technical sales engineering or solutions engineering for enterprise/B2B customers.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, SDKs, and integration workflows.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple terms.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and relationship management for existing enterprise customers as a trusted advisor.
• Partner with Sales and Solutions teams on pre-sales, design, and API consultations; present use cases.
• Guide new enterprise customers through API integration, onboarding, and implementation.
• Translate customer requirements into clear specifications for engineering teams.
• Be the product/technical SME; articulate all aspects of the Alpaca platform to diverse audiences.
• Coordinate with local compliance/operations to understand regional requirements.
• Own technical sales engagements end-to-end: discovery, validation, RFPs, security questionnaires; lead demos.
• Create sales enablement materials for new features/products.
• Coordinate with regulators, vendors, and partners to relay requirements to product/engineering.
• Assist customers in adopting Alpaca’s platform while maintaining high support standards; travel as needed.
• Stay aligned with product timelines and test/roll out new features.
