Job summary
Alpaca is seeking a Sr. Sales Engineer for New Markets Japan to be the technical expert for enterprise partners across Japan and APAC. You will bridge customer and engineering teams, guiding API integrations and translating business needs into actionable specs for our platform.
Fluency in Japanese and strong English, plus 5+ years in enterprise tech sales engineering, are required. You will collaborate with regulatory, compliance, and product teams to tailor solutions and support successful
Qualifications
- 5+ years in enterprise / B2B technical sales engineering or solutions engineering.
- Strong API knowledge with REST, SDKs, WebSockets, and JSON.
- Native or business-level Japanese and strong communication skills.
- Business-level English and ability to translate technical concepts for partners.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and relationship management for Japan enterprise customers.
- Partner with Sales and Solutions on pre-sales discussions, solution design, and API use cases.
- Guide enterprise customers through API integration, onboarding.
- Translate customer requirements into specifications for Alpaca's engineering.
- Own end-to-end technical sales engagements, RFPs, and security questionnaires.
- Create Japanese collateral and coordinate with regulators/vendors.
