Job summary

Blue Orange Digital seeks a senior Solutions Architect/Sales Engineer to own client engagements from first call through production. You will scope, price, and deliver the initial sprint, writing proposals and SOWs, and building reference architectures with Snowflake and Databricks.

You bring 5+ years in a client-facing tech role, hands-on SQL/Python, and proven revenue ownership. You’ll work with SI partners and PE portfolios to shape impactful, production-ready data platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a client-facing technical role at a data platform, analytics, or AI company.
• Direct evidence of revenue ownership with quota or named technical owner on deals.
• Hands-on engineering in the last three years with SQL and Python.
• Fluency with Snowflake or Databricks and ability to work with the other tool.
• Ability to communicate credibly to both business and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own a book of new and existing accounts, carry a services number and forecast accurately.
• Run technical discovery yourself, without waiting for an engineer.
• Scope engagements and price them, including risky components.
• Write proposals and SOWs, defend scope when needed.
• Lead the first sprint on engagements you sell, then hand to delivery lead.
• Build reference architectures, demos, and PoCs reflecting deployment reality.
• Collaborate with Snowflake and Databricks partners to enable co-sell motions.
• Feed field learnings back into service definitions and pricing.
