Job summary

Blue Orange Digital is a boutique data and AI consultancy seeking a senior individual contributor who owns the technical sale and helps deliver the work you sold. You will lead discovery, shape architecture, build proposals, and carry the technical narrative that wins deals.

After closing, you stay involved, guiding the engagement’s technical direction and delivering hands-on work. You will work with CTOs and engineering leaders, reporting to leadership and collaborating with sales and delivery

Qualifications

• Deep technical background in data engineering, ML, cloud data platforms, or analytics.
• Sales and delivery experience in seller-doer, pre-sales solution architect, or consulting delivery lead roles.
• Databricks expertise with production depth; knowledge of Snowflake and at least one cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure), plus modern data tooling (dbt, Airflow, Python, SQL).
• Executive and technical fluency to lead a discovery call with a CTO and a whiteboard session with engineers.
• Proposal and scoping ability with experience writing proposals or SOWs and presenting solutions that win.
• Builder mentality: clear communication, owning outcomes end to end, thriving in client-facing situations.

Responsibilities

• Sell: lead technical discovery, architect the solution, own the technical narrative, hit the sales quota.
• Deliver: set technical direction for engagements, stay hands-on with production-grade code, deliver against a delivery target.
• Land and expand: stay close to accounts, surface new opportunities, grow engagements from initial project.
• Protect quality: uphold delivery standards for code review, testing, documentation, and clean handoff.
