Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to be a trusted technical advisor in the pre-sales process. You will partner with Account Managers to deliver People-Centric security solutions across Proofpoint’s portfolio and drive successful Proof-of-Concepts and evaluations.

You will present to technical staff through to the C-suite, craft compelling product stories, and collaborate with sales teams to penetrate target accounts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in cyber-security sales/engineering roles.
• Experience in Enterprise or Cloud Security, including cloud/SaaS platforms.
• Comfortable presenting to audiences from technical staff to the C-suite.
• Own and drive pre-sales initiatives, collaborating with sales teams.
• Experience with Proof-of-Concept (POC) and Production Evaluations processes.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant field; CISSP valued.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Technical Lead for pre-sales in the Proofpoint sales cycle.
• Deliver compelling product demonstrations addressing cyber threats.
• Collaborate with enterprise sales to develop targeted strategies.
• Engage with security staff for technical discovery and POC planning.
• Provide customer insights to Product, Marketing and Engineering teams.
• Travel interstate as required to support customers.
