Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Sales Engineer for Mid-Market accounts to partner with Account Managers and customers, delivering trusted technical guidance and Proofpoint solutions. You’ll demonstrate capabilities, conduct on-site demos, and guide POC/production evaluations to protect customers from evolving cyber threats.

You will become the technical liaison across the sales cycle, coordinating with security staff and executives, to craft People-Centric security stories and ensure customer success.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in technical sales or SE roles.
• Proven ability to develop relationships with senior customer stakeholders.
• Experience with Enterprise or Cloud Security solutions and related platforms.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute targeted account penetration strategies
• Build trust and rapport with customers and prospects as the technical point of contact
• Deliver compelling product demonstrations addressing current cyber threats
• Lead technical discovery, POC planning, and production evaluations with security staff
• Design and champion complex People-Centric Security solutions across Proofpoint portfolio
• Assist in professional services deployments and trainings as needed
• Provide customer insights to Product Management, Marketing and Engineering teams
