Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Sales Engineer to partner with the Mid-Market sales team, delivering compelling product demonstrations and trusted technical guidance. You will help customers understand Proofpoint’s People-Centric security solutions and drive Proofpoint portfolio adoption.

You’ll lead POCs and evaluations, collaborate with account managers, and share field insights with Product and Engineering teams. Location: Detroit metro or Minneapolis metro; travel required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in sales engineering or related technical role in cybersecurity

Responsibilities

• Lead technical presales for mid-market/enterprise accounts
• Deliver compelling product demonstrations addressing cybersecurity threats
• Collaborate with sales to develop targeted penetration strategies
• Act as trusted technical advisor to Account Managers and customers
• Perform Proof-of-Concepts and Production Evaluations
• Provide customer insight to Product Management and Engineering teams
