Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Sales Engineer for Mid-Market accounts in the United States. You will partner with Account Managers to deliver People-Centric security solutions, run demos, and lead POC/Production Evaluations.

Located in the Detroit or Minneapolis metro areas, you will be a trusted technical advisor to customers and internal stakeholders. You will develop and present compelling stories to customers, coordinate with security staff, and contribute to strategic sales outcomes in a

6+ years in sales engineering or related cybersecurity roles.
Proven track record with enterprise clients in a local territory.
Experience in Enterprise/Cloud Security and SaaS platforms.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

Serve as technical lead for Proofpoint pre-sales, collaborating with the sales team on account strategies.
Deliver compelling product demonstrations addressing today’s cyber threats.
Conduct technical discovery and lead Proof-of-Concept and Production Evaluations.
Present complex People-Centric Security solutions to technical staff and executives.
Support customers with on-site demonstrations, trainings, and industry events.
