Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Training Specialist to conduct equipment operator and safety training, deliver private classes at client sites or branches, and maintain accurate training records. The role emphasizes using various training modalities, learning new adult-education methods, and contributing to the Safety Training program.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in related fields, heavy equipment knowledge, and willingness to travel; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct equipment operator certification training and general safety training.
• Publish public training class schedules on the training platform.
• Provide private training classes at branch locations or customer sites.
• Maintain training records in SBR systems.
• Trigger issuance of customer wallet cards within 24 hours of class completion.
• Learn and teach new adult training methods and courses.
• Maintain current operator certifications.
• Provide Train the Trainer courses for customers.
• Optimize productivity by scheduling and attendance.
• Sell and support the sales teams to grow the safety training business.
• Collaborate with Marketing to create flyers and sales materials.
• Coach Certified Evaluators in districts.
• Support Certified Evaluator team with equipment evaluations.
• Onboard and train new District Safety Trainers and Evaluators.
• Advise on safety issues and standards to employees and customers.
