Job summary

Kimble Companies seeks a knowledgeable training professional to develop and deliver hands-on operator training for heavy equipment, focusing on safety, operational excellence, and consistent equipment use across our dynamic sites.

You will assess learner progress, update materials, and collaborate with operations and safety teams to identify training needs and improve programs, while maintaining documentation and records.

Qualifications

  • Experience training operators in heavy equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of safety practices, inspections, and practices.
  • Ability to create structured sessions and measure learning outcomes.

  • Support compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Monitor training progress and maintain attendance, certifications, and competencies records.
  • Work with operations, safety, and leadership teams to identify training needs and improve programs.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements to instructional methods and content.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning.

Job description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and engaging professional to help develop safe, skilled, and confident equipment operators. In this role, you will design and deliver hands‑on training that supports operational excellence, workplace safety, and consistent equipment use across a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver classroom and hands‑on training for the operation of heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner.
  • Assess operator skill levels and provide coaching, retraining, and performance feedback as needed.
  • Develop, maintain, and update training materials, lesson plans, evaluations, and related documentation.
  • Demonstrate proper equipment use, safety procedures, and pre-operation inspections.
  • Support compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Monitor training progress and maintain accurate records of attendance, certifications, and competencies.
  • Work with operations, safety, and leadership teams to identify training needs and improve instructional programs.

Qualifications
  • Experience training, mentoring, or instructing operators in heavy equipment or similar machinery.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment safety practices, inspection procedures, and operational best practices.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with individuals and groups of varying experience levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to create structured training sessions and measure learning outcomes.
  • Comfort working in field‑based environments and around active equipment operations.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to documentation and recordkeeping.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with cross‑functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with training programs, certification processes, or safety‑focused instruction.
  • Familiarity with a variety of heavy equipment types and operating environments.
  • Experience using training assessments, competency checklists, or learning management systems.
