Job summary

The Townsend Company LLC is seeking a Corporate Safety Training Specialist to deliver field-focused safety and operational training for employees who operate heavy equipment across multiple sites in the United States.

You will assess operator competency, coach employees, and help ensure the teams have the skills to work safely around heavy machinery. This field-based role requires extensive travel and hands-on training in real operating environments.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering instructor-led, hands-on, or technical training in a workplace environment.
• Strong facilitation, communication, presentation, and coaching skills.
• Ability to travel extensively to operating units and field locations.
• Knowledge of safety requirements and industry standards (OSHA/ANSI).

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom, field, and hands-on safety and operational training for employees around heavy equipment.
• Conduct field evaluations to assess operator knowledge, skills, and competency.
• Coach employees to address skill gaps and provide retraining when needed.
• Train employees on equipment inspections, safe operation, and emergency procedures.
• Support development and continuous improvement of training programs and materials.
