Job summary

United Rentals in Earth City, MO seeks a United Academy Trainer to deliver world-class safety and equipment operator training to customers and internal teams. This role serves as a subject matter expert in equipment operation, safety compliance, adult learning, and customer training solutions.

The Trainer partners with Sales, Operations, and customers to identify training needs, develop customized programs, drive training revenue, and ensure regulatory compliance through instructor-led training,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of college and related work experience.
• In select markets, bilingual (Spanish) is required or preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience delivering equipment operator, safety, industrial, or workforce development training programs.
• Experience with Train-the-Trainer programs or competency assessments preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, CSA, MSHA and other safety standards preferred.
• Experience with LMS, Salesforce and digital learning tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led safety and equipment operator training for customers and United Rentals employees.
• Conduct practical evaluations, Train-the-Trainer programs, and Certified Evaluator certifications.
• Utilize digital learning platforms, simulators, and blended learning to enhance the learning experience.
• Adapt training delivery to meet customer operations while maintaining compliance and quality.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, and branch teams to identify training opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, branch personnel, and regional stakeholders.
• Manage training records, evaluations, certifications, and customer documentation.
