Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking a Senior Safety Manager to lead safety on utility-scale EPC projects in Elm Mott, TX. You will develop, implement, and enforce site safety programs, coordinating with project leadership to ensure risk is managed on roadways, foundations, HV works, and solar arrays.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in construction safety, strong auditing experience, and a Bachelor’s in safety management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction safety management
• 10+ years of experience in construction safety management
• Experience with large commercial/multi-disciplinary/industrial projects (utility, civil, HV) including solar or wind energy preferred
• Experience in developing, maintaining, and enforcing project safety/environmental plans
• External/internal safety auditing experience and knowledge of OSHA standards

Responsibilities

• Promote company safety culture and policies with clients and subcontractors
• Implement and manage safety programs for construction activities
• Coordinate with Safety Director, Project Manager and Construction Manager on field safety needs
• Supervise safety specialists and perform audits, inspections, and surveillance
• Investigate accidents/incidents and document corrective actions per policy
• Develop site-specific safety plans including emergency action and evacuation procedures
• Ensure personnel have requisite safety training for their scope of work
