Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking an experienced safety professional to support site safety management on renewable energy construction projects. You will promote a proactive safety culture, enforce safety policies, and coordinate with project teams to ensure regulatory compliance.

In this role you will perform audits and incident investigations, assist in developing the project safety plan, and train personnel across sites.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in construction safety management or related field and/or three years of construction safety management experience.
• Safety auditing experience and knowledge of OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform as an advocate for CoVolt Power by promoting company Core Principles and mission, a proactive safety culture, and policies and procedures.
• Represent Signal Energy in a professional manner with clients, subcontractors, local officials, and others at all times.
• Support Site Safety Manager in the management of injury and illness prevention plans for the construction of project infrastructure including roads, foundations, HV electrical works, substations, and generation components.
• Work closely with Site Safety Manager, Project Manager, Construction Manager and project staff to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and the project injury and illness prevention plan.
• Effectively performs audit, inspection, and surveillance activities in accordance with the project injury and illness prevention plan.
• Assess the safety of the work performed, track and assure corrective actions are completed in accordance with the project injury and illness prevention plan and Safety Policies.
• Completes incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Assist in developing and maintaining the project injury and illness prevention plan, including emergency action and evacuation plans.
• Verify that all personnel have the requisite safety training pertinent to their scope of work.
