Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a Senior Safety Coordinator to promote safety and regulate safety procedures across divisions at sites in El Paso, TX. The role focuses on coordinating safety activities, inspections, training, and incident reporting to ensure OSHA compliance and safe operations for our crews.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Safety/Environment, 5+ years in safety, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and OSHA-related certifications; on-site work with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health, and Environmental Applied Sciences or related discipline.
• OSHA 10hr/30hr certifications preferred; OSHA 500 preferred.
• 5+ years experience in a related field.
• Strong communication, problem solving and computer skills; OSHA CFR 1926 knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA rules.
• Inspect job sites and report hazards with corrective measures.
• Coordinate training programs and new employee safety training.
• Investigate accidents and prepare materials for regulatory use.
• Conduct safety meetings and provide on-site safety training.
• Maintain site safety documentation and monitor safety performance.
