Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a senior EH&S leader to plan, develop, and manage corporate environmental, health, and safety programs for the assigned division. The role establishes a safety-driven culture across multiple sites and regions.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Safety/Health/Environmental fields and 8+ years in EH&S with people management. CPR/First Aid certs are required, OSHA trainings preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health, Environmental Applied Sciences or related discipline.
• 8+ years’ experience in EH&S including people management.
• CPR and First Aid certifications.
• OSHA 10/20/30/40 training preferred.
• OSHA 500, CHST or ASP certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, coordinates and manages corporate environmental, health and safety protection programs for the division.
• Establishes and maintains a safety-driven culture across the division.
• Conducts safety audits and inspections and recommends corrective actions for compliance.
• Develops and maintains employee safety training programs and records.
• Develops safety reports and presentations for management.
• Provides strategic direction to improve EH&S performance and minimize risk.
• Ensures compliance with safety manuals and internal policies across locations.
• Provides coaching, feedback, and participates in performance processes.
• Manages recruitment and hiring for safety roles.
