Job summary

Southland Industries seeks an experienced EHS leader to plan, develop, coordinate and manage corporate environmental, health and safety programs for the division. You will establish a safety-driven culture, conduct audits, implement training, and produce reports for executive management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, health, or environmental field required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and people-management experience.
• Excellent organizational, time-management and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, EPA and DOT standards.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, coordinates and manages EHS programs for the division.
• Leads safety audits, inspections and corrective actions across multiple states.
• Develops safety training programs and maintains records.
• Produces safety reports and presentations for management.
• Provides direction to improve EHS performance and reduce risk.
• Ensures compliance with safety manuals and internal policies.
• Oversees recruitment and hiring for safety roles.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health, Environmental Applied Sciences or related discipline
